Hunter x Hunter Review

This anime is one of my all-time favorites. It may seem a bit childish but it did what other shounen anime couldn't do. It keeps on unraveling the story bit by bit each and every episode. It also doesn't focus on a single character and shows some of the other characters stories as well, and does it in a way that it actually doesn't get boring.

It has everything that you probably dreamed of when you were a child. Powers, freedom, friendship, rivals, and well just about everything. The story is simple yet great at the same time. I just hope that HxH can continue to be such a great anime for the time to come.

It starts with a boy named Gon. His dad abandoned him when he was still a baby in order to follow his dream as a Hunter but Gon was proud of him instead of being angry. He wanted to know what it was that could make a person abandon his own child so he himself became a Hunter seeking out his dad.

Sounds childish, but it definitely is for all age groups. Well, maybe 7+ for some scenes.

Hunter x Hunter has 4 seasons.
1- Hunter x Hunter
2- Hunter x Hunter OVA
3- HxH Greed Island
4- HxH G.I. Final
After these 4 seasons which ended in 2004 they decided to reboot the anime in 2011 in order to follow the manga more accurately which is called Hunter x Hunter (2011).
It is currently on the 40th episode at the time of me writing this and even though some stuff in the original anime was better such as voice acting, some stuff is also better in the new one like the art.

I hope they can follow the manga as closely as possible as I like the manga which is still ongoing very much.

9/10 for Hunter x Hunter
